Hello, using the dumpster program, where do you change the language code and what do you change it to? Under the 'mdhd' i have the language number 21956. Is that what i would change to get the non-crashing proper english code? Thanks for your help!

Just hit the same problem. Dumpster worked like a charm to get the files viewable in QuickTime again. Thanks for the research!

Thank you for taking the time to post this information. I found it very helpful and it also appears to have solved the problem of Quicktime crashing on attempt to play some video I encoded with Handbrake.

Hey. I've been encoding DVDs with HandBrake on my iMac using the Apple Universal setting. Every time I try to open them with Quicktime Pro, QT crashes. So, I'm thinking it may be the problem you relate here. I got Dumpster but do not have the tech skills to know what I have to change to fix the language settings. Can you help me out here? Many thanks!
